2 weeks ago, Dan told me that he had a call from Aramsa Spas at Bishan Park for a free trial... He knew me too well... haha... Sure want to go!!!! So as predicted, I ask him whether I can also go for that trial... Then, he called me back saying no problem!!!
So I postpone my spa at Rustic Nirvana on the 25th Aug to go to the Armasa Spa with Dan.
The spa is situated at inside Bishan Park. We first went for gym classes then Dan said that we better be there early because he doesn't know how to go to the place!!!
When we arrived to the spa, the therapist show us to our locker to put our stuffs and to change.. The toilet was beautiful, the shower area has a garden outdoor feel and they have those huge shower heads that I like!!!!
We first at a foot wash with lemon salt. They told us that the session will take about 2.5hr!!! (I was thinking, WAH free still give 2 person free and 2.5hr!!! Couldn't be) But I was in a "too-relaxed" mode to think any further.
We first at this herbal full body tumeric and rice scrub, then there was this yoghurt mask. It was the first time I did a yoghurt body mask... Hmm.....smelt so YUMMMMMYYY!!!
After the mask, we had a 60 min massage.... and finally an outdoor garden soak.... There was this huge jaccuzzi area with rose petals in the tub.... and the area was so romantic except for the occassional lizard sounds!!!! haha...
I told Dan... WOW this is better than the spa we went at Krabi!!! I told him we could come back here again after our wedding!!!
Then about 10min, there was this gal who came in holding flowers (she pass the flowers to Dan), that is when I knew kana bluff liao!!!! haha... The whole FREE spa package was a bluff... He bought the couple package to propose to me!!!! haha.... Then he ask me those usual stuff la "blush blush" haha... then give me the flowers and the ring which we early went to shop for!!!! hehe... (I wanted to choose my own ring just in case I will get shocked by not liking the design.... hehe we are very practical!!!)
I asked him on the planning process, he said that he came to the spa a few times during the weekdays evening to view the spa area!! So he pretended he did not know the area to make it more real!!! So the receptionist and therapist actually knew that he was going to propose... hehe "blush blush"... Hehe this time he really suprised me!!! (I always say that I always pretended to be suprise as I normally can predict him... hehe bad right!!!) So happy!!!! hehe "blush blush"
Now come the not-so-romantic part!!!! hehehe Me la, got abit of low blood pressure plus I was hungry so when I came out of the hot jacuzzi area, I felt the room spinning, broke out in cold sweat and felt the room darkening!!! so the therapist went to take cold water for me!! but after 10min, I was feeling great liao!!! Hehe so not romantic right!!! haha
Hmm after the spa, we went for dinner and went to meet Dan's sis, Ruth for Karaoke at K box until 4am!!! haha siao right!!! sing from 10pm - 3am... then went home!!!!
Yeah finally after so many visits to different hotels, my boyfriend and I decided on the Shangri La.
We have been viewing hotels since April, so we have been going to hotels almost every weekend to view their ballroom. We were looking for a hotel that can hold about 35 - 38 tables. We went to:
1)Swissotel The Stamford (Don't like their reception, as you have to share the area with many weddings esp if you want to hold the dinner on a weekend) 2)Marina Mandarin (Min 40 pp for big ballroom and the smaller ballroom can accomodate 30+ table but has a very low ceiling) 3)Sheraton Towers (Don't like their ceiling too, half low and half high so abit funny) 4)Pan Pacific (Also the same like Marina Mandaring... I dont think I have so many guest to invite man) 5)Orchard Hotel (Hmm cost about $1020 for a 4 star hotel, not so worth le.. although they have a popular restaurant call Hua Ting) 6)Regent They have beautiful and romantic themes, good food (Summer Place is popular for food) and we were about to put a deposit to that hotel but my friend, Camelia and a few other colleagues said that FEW PEOPLE knows Regent is a 5 star hotel and not many people would expect Regent to cost about $1100 per table of 10 person. So we decided to hold on the deposit... 7) Shangri La We went down to take a look at the hotel and their banquet. They have quite good themes, I simply love their wedding cards and their numerous choices of wedding favours. My boyfriend and my friends said that although Shang is $100 more per table, it is more worth it.
